Build Process

Throughout every build, there are multiple steps that take meticulous planning and execution.

Here is our basic guide that we follow to ensure each of our customers needs are met and exceeded.

Step 1

Layout

Determining the layout for your van is the most crucial part to get the building process underway. This will encompass all the amenities that you would like, as well as possible window additions.

Step 2

Framing

This is where the building begins and holes are drilled. we use 2x3 framing as it allows us to square up the walls throughout all types of vans. We are taking into account the windows, electrical routing and other amenities that may be going into your van.

Step 3

Electrical

Running wire is never fun and takes a lot of planning. During this step, we determine placement of all things that need to be powered; lights, fridges, fans, A/C units, solar panels, outlets, switches, actuators, an so on! All the electrical gets routed to a dedicated box and it is sorted from there.

Step 4

Insulation

We usually opt for closed cell Styrofoam as it is the most cost effective solution. Through our experience, the value gained from going to a more expensive insulation solution is only seen in extreme temperatures.

Step 5

Flooring

This is where things start to take shape. We start with a sub-floor of 1/2" or 3/4" depending on height requirements. From there, the flooring of your chose gets laid down and the van is becoming your home away from home.

Step 6

Ceiling

Ceilings are one of the most satisfying parts of any build. Covering up the bare shell with your choice of wood and adding LED lights just does so much for the interior. With it being in every photo and running the length of the van, its important to get this step right.

Step 7

Walls

After we ensure that all the prior steps are done correctly its time to box it all in. As you can see, there are many different choices you can go with on your walls. We can recommend finishes based on your usage of the vehicles and would best suit your

Step 8

Interior

This is where the magic happens and your vision comes to life.

this portion encompasses the bed, seating, kitchenettes, cabinets, storage solutions and whatever else you'd like. We've completed a wide array of builds from the perfect weekend adventure van to the top of the line off-grid Sprinter.
